Just got a 2nd printing of the Gunslinger. Was trying to hold out for a first edition to fill the empty space, but still can't rationally spend that much on a book at this time.
Just got back from my three day book shopping spree in the Seattle area! Found some goodies while there:
Hardbacks of The Stand: Captain Trips & The Stand: American Nightmares
Hardback of Full Dark, No Stars
Also recieved in the mail from Amazon my copy of The Chronicles of Harris Burdick which contains the story The House On Maple Street (based on a piece of art from Chris Van Allsburg which is in Nightmares & Dreamscapes) and also a new story from Tabitha King, which is always a treat when something new by her comes down the pike, there's tons of other authors in this book too. Was notified that Amazon has also shipped my copy of Granta, which has The Dune, a new story by the Master!
I bought 1408 today. I've seen it few times before. But it's many years ago and I have to re watch it.
My latest SK purchase was the softcover collection 'Full Dark, No Stars.' I was browsing the book section at the local grocery store chain. I had never seen this collection and found it was the first paperback printing. This was about 4 days ago and I'm just getting ready to read the last story.
Dark stories, but wonderful collection.
I usually buy my books through Amazon. The last ones I bought were Dolores Claiborne to complete my collection.
Happy reading.
Just got "11/22/63" at B & N in Sarasota, with a 30% stated discount on the cover and an extra 10% off for being a member. I'm going to the upcoming book signing on the 14th. I must say, I don't think the book itself could be bigger or heavier, literally. I'm just saying (being an older fan). I started reading it tonight...loving it so far. Wonder how I'll read it in bed. Maybe I'll need a bed book stand -- boy will that make me feel old.
Well, obviously, 11/22/63 (like a bunch of us here, I'm thinking.....)
Since my last post here: Full Dark, No Stars 1/1 Trade Hardcover and just yesterday 11/22/63 1/1 Trade Hardcover and the Signed Limited of the same.
