Nightmares & Dreamscapes, and Gerald's Game.
I recently just got Full Dark, No Stars and utterly devoured it like within a day...talk about compulsive reading...
I recently got Nightmare and Dreamscapes.I got it for free.An old friend who wasn't interested in King anymore gave it to me.
I just order Salems Lot, On writing and Carrie, Everything's Eventual okay I have read all those once but I want re-read them. And then I order Thinner, N&D and Langoliers. Those three are movies. So now I can enjoy my vacation by reading and see some SK books and movies.
Just got back froma three day trip to the Seattle area and of course I hit the Goodwill's and used bookstores, as many as I could! I picked up a 5th printing hardback of The Bachman Books at a used bookstore and ran across a decent 1st printing Signet paperback original of The Running Man at Goodwill for $.99!! I'm telling ya, ya gotta hit those Goodwill's, ya just never know what you'll find there!![]()
I have only recently (within a year so) gotten into Sthephen's books after reading IT, so last week, I put £10 (UK) into my bank and had a look on the play trade section of play (a UK based entertainment website - books, cd's dvd's etc) to see what I could pick up. I got Pet Semetary, Misery, The Shining, and The Stand: Complete and Uncut edition - for a total of £9.75. I prefer 2nd hand paperbacks - paperbacks because I generally read most in bed, lying on my side with my book in one hand, so they are easier and lighter to hold. 2nd hand, because a book is something you pretty much have no choice but to mark and damage with spine creases, and general wear, and I don't like to damage my newly bought things. Plus there is just something that feels cozy and nostalgic about an old book.
I hope I dont come across as cheap.
Purchased the latest installments of the comics of The Stand , Gunslinger and the last three of American Vampire. I have to say that after SK's turn at AV I thought this series would go down hill and be a disappointment but it is really turning out to be something special! For all of you readers out there who jumped ship after SK's storyline played out I suggest you get those back issues and devour them! This is really going to be a great series!!
