A few weeks ago a good friend called saying his lady was dragging him around to yard sales. I said I was sorry. He asked if I still read King. I said yep, and he said he was looking at a box of King's hardbacks, would I be interested? Sure, I told him, bring them over. I had some of the titles in HB, but not all. I won't bore you with the details, except to say "Night Shift" has the introduction by John D. MacDonald (my hero), which I slobbered over, and "The Stand" is the unabridged copy. The happy part is I paid only one dollar apiece for the twenty two books. I hugged his lady. I love happy endings.

A coffee mug with Dark Tower sayings on it...I used it twice, then accidentally broke the handle...but not to worry! It now makes a nice pen holder on my desk.
