I read Gerald's Game in college, just shortly after it came out. I thought it was a great book, because I remember how the whole excitement of going back to school influenced the mood and pace in which I read it.

It was ok. Not my favorite. Parts of it were really awesome, but overall it lacked a little something. The part with the glass and the skin and so on, was extremely hard for me to read. Gave me the willies, and I generally do ok with gore...but that, I don't know, just got to me. *Spoilers* and the villan being an actual man...not feeling it. And the ending...I thought the stry went a bit too long.

I think I like Gerald's Game more than most of the folks here. I'd definitely put it in my top 15. I thought it was very tense, and the scene with the glass? Yeesh!
