Seriously, this was an incredible production. I'm wondering if anyone else was lucky enough to see Ghost Brothers of Darkland County yesterday evening in Asheville, NC. I sat in the third row of the orchestra, dead center, and was astounded by the passion of everyone on stage. The songs rocked (I kept away from all spoilers of any kind including music, so this was the very first time I heard these songs), there was humor where it needed it, and a good dose of terror as well. Just all in all fantastic. My fiancee and I drove 4 hours to Asheville and drove back as soon as the musical ended (she had a med school exam at 8am this morning). Being essentially a zombie all day today was worth it to see this show.
As a loyal constant reader (LONG time lurker, first time poster) I was pleasantly surprised by Ghost Brothers of Drakland County and hope to see it again soon!
Without spoilers, I also felt the ending was one of King's better ones as well. I got chills and my fiancee loved it as well.
SEE THIS MUSICAL!
