Hi everyone, decided to join the forum because I have 'recently' discovered Stephen King's writings.
allow me to elaborate, I am 28 years old but only recently got in to reading! Somehow always considered it a chore rather than a pleasure, but thankfully that has turned around.
i've known about Stephen King all my life, since I've always enjoyed the movie adaption of Cujo, but never read any of his books.
Recently I purchased a Kindle, because I WANTED to read more and being a lover of technology, I thought this was the obvious step.
I was recommended, by a colleague to read 'Gravity' by Tess Gerritsen, which I ended up thoroughly enjoying!
upon finishing that book I was on the hunt for another book to read.
my dad who is an avid reader is currently reading 'The Shining' and he was telling me how brilliant King's writing style was and of the depth of his descriptions.
I've always liked horror movies so thought I'd plunge into the horror genre of books, I searched google for "scariest Stephen King book"
page after page all pointed to one thing...Pet Sematary.
so that's where I am now, so far really enjoying it!
