Just wanted to say hello. I live in the UK and am 23 years old. I've been collecting SK books for a couple of years now (I inherited my mum's good taste in reading material it seems) and have really enjoyed reading through the message board, I thought it might be about time I joined!
I actually found this message board having just watched the Bag Of Bones miniseries on DVD and just wanted to see other peoples opinions of it, but I got kind of hooked on many MANY other threads. I enjoy discussing books but there is only so much I can discuss with my mum before she gets bored of talking haha.
I'm currently awaiting the release of Doctor Sleep although I'm a bit apprehensive about reading it. The description doesn't really appeal to me and The Shining is not one of my absolute favourites. Having said that, there are many of SK's books that initially didn't appeal to me but have gone on to become favourites of mine (IT being one of them!)
I had a few glances through other intro posts and didn't notice anyone else listing their absolute favourites but figured I might as well!
So, in no particular order: IT, Dolores Claiborne, Rose Madder, The Dark Half and Under The Dome to name just a few.
I'm really looking forward to joining in here. I think I'll fit in well.
