President Obama's in St. Petersburg today;
Isn't there to meet with Putin... What could either say?
One's a U.S. President - who wants to launch a strike -
Lobbying that more G-20 countries act alike.
Laying out the evidence of horrifying crimes
(Can't imagine how Assad can sleep at night sometimes.)
Putin's backing Syria. Bashar Assad's his guy;
Claiming that the evidence against him is a lie.
Doesn't leave a lot for them to talk about, I'd think.
Not as if relations with the Russians didn't stink
Well before this latest rift but, 'though the two aren't friends,
Both must work together before Syria's war ends.

Goin' on what, 95 years ago, hey let's just go madcap and call it a century ago, this is a shot of a negative, held up to the light in the kitchen window, of my Daddy recovering after he was gassed in France in WWI.
He had already recovered from a couple them new fangled German machine gun bullets to the leg, and ya know I'm thinkin', machines guns, regardless of nationality, ain't they enough?
This is also the only image I have of him looking straight on, don't have any with his right profile, least not but a couple where he's holding his hand up covering it, Mama said he was a tad self conscious of the big burn scar. Can't see the scars to his lungs neither, but then that was what left him permanently disabled, til the damage done finally helped him die.
Yeah I'm maybe a little more passionate about chemical weapons than your average PatInTheHat, see I never got to meet the ol' horny geezer, might have, if only he'd of had justa bit more wind in his sails, maybe.
We made real promises back then, made 'em loud & proud since then, broke those, big time, and more than once, guess we really don't have to keep promises, or could be it's mostly the one's we make repeatedly?
I'm hoping it won't fan out into something massive ( i.e WW3) as predicted by many (although the meida could be exaggerating) . I would much prefer if it could be resolved through diplomacy, that's for sure.
