Zimmerman refused to take the stand and now I think the defense has rested. I don't know if they're finished with rebuttal witnesses, but we could have a verdict very soon now. Honestly, I only see it coming out one way. And, I think, rightly so. If he's convicted, whatever the political reason, I think he deserves it. He was told by 911 not to follow. He did, and now somebody's dead. He shouldn't have gotten out of his truck. He should have waited for the police like they told him to. If not for that action, nobody would have died there that night. He's got to be responsible for that.
Oh! Dr. Vincent Di Maio testified for the defense. He is an *expert gunshot* pathologist and is held in high esteem in his field.
If I am correct, Dr, Di Maio was the Chief Medical Coroner for a County in Texas. He *left * his office when evidence showed up he was getting "kick-backs" from funeral homes and other county/city officials in some other scams.
I am not questionig his expertize in gun shot evidence (Yeah, I am.) I'm saying, if you were willing to scam and get kick backs....I don't trust you to examine my ... mailbox. Ha!
Because of the total lack of police investigation, I thought the prosecution was over charging with the second degree murder charge. I think think the jury will be more willing to convict on a manslaughter charge. But still, the lack of a proper police investigation is a big roadblock in this case.
