I understand, "Innocent until proven guilty," the right to have a trial and pleading not guilty in an effort to plea to lesser charges but, the viciousness of the attack made me sick. Literally, sick.
He comes in and rains punches about her head and face. (Right next to the three year old little girl.) He goes up to the second story and rummages around and comes back down and attacks her again punches and kicks to the face and upper torso. Goes up a second time comes back down and beats her again. That poor woman was totally defenseless and not a threat at all. The third time he comes down and chokes her, body slams her and then drags her to the basement where she says, "God, no," and throws her down the stairs!
The poor woman makes a concerted effort to not yell so as not to upset her child and maybe draw his violence to the child. She decides to "Just take it," and hopefully keep his anger focused on her and not the little girl.
I don't believe this was *just* a home intrusion/burglary. I think he wanted to find a woman he could beat all to hell and whatever valuables he might find and steal were just *gravy*.
I hope the state says, Plead guilty to all charges and maybe, just maybe, you will have a chance to someday get out or we go to trial and you will be found guilty with no chance for parole."
Sorry. But this just hurt and injured my soul and I am so pizzed off.
That child will never, ever forget seeing her Momma beaten.
