Alrighty guys. You got me me.For a good while I was not reading any SK (GASP!) and decided to take a break from reading altogether. I had spent some time in the more tech world for awhile than in the books and lemme tell ya. I think I'll take the books over tech any day. No teenage drama, (unless you're into that kind of reading) No nagging and best of all an escape from the real world. (at least our own.) So I decided to take yet another walk on down to visit the skeleton crew. Last time I was reading this, I had finished the strange and ominous Here there be tygers. After being reminded that I haven't mentioned anything SK here (False) I did agree that it's been too long since I had read any works by him. I had dived back into this dark (and surprisingly cheap) book and as I creased the spine, Chills were sent up mine as I started to read The Monkey. I'm only as far as Hal recalling just what had happened to his babysitter but that is alone, enough to creep anyone out. In some ways it even reminded me of a few things I had been afraid of as a child. You see, I hate dolls. Porcelain dolls scare the living (insert your own text here) out of me. I remember this doll in particular that I really didn't like as a kid. With long blonde hair, eyes only the dead could mimic, and blood red (Stained, perhaps? ) lips, you can see why this made me an cautious kid. Especially since my sister still claims to this day it blinked once and seeing as this doll has no moving mechanics built in. Anyways, it feels good to be back here. I'm glad I decided to step back into this twilight zone-esque world again.
