Bev, you are correct...I was thinking of that booklet. My memory turned it into a short story that connected the two worlds (that would have been nice, actually).
I read Desperation first and Regulators second. As I said above, I found Regulators to be the better book.
I too love the artwork on these books. I found myself unfortunately downsizing my possessions a couple years ago but I was running out of room for things I wanted to keep in an easy-access manner. I had to get rid of some King hardcovers, so I decided to select Desperation as one of my opportunities for streamlining. It was very difficult to get rid of the cover (thinking about it now, why didn't I just get rid of the text and keep the dust jacket?). Regulators I kept, and I have to say, it is a pleasure to look at that cover. On a related note, I've always regretted getting rid of the hardcover of Nightmares and Dreamscapes...I loved that cover, with the scarecrow (it was a scarecrow, I think) in the road. Nice blue/dark tones. Interesting, because as I further think about this, King's books don't receive the same kind of art treatment these days, do they? Too bad.
