I don't know if it makes any difference, but I'm pretty sure we can get a group discount at the Stanley. Maybe have a masquerade, unmask at midnight.
Maybe pot luck dinner and campfire on Friday night, masquerade on Saturday. Tours and junk during the day.

I can work on the details here in Colorado if it swings that way. If we can't get a good enough group rate at the Stanley, there are quite a few camping places in the area because it's right near the opening of the Rocky Mountain National Park. We could get a tour of the Stanley either way, and if that wasn't scary enough, we can take all you sea level people over Trail Ridge Road, the highest continually paved road in the United States. http://www.nps.gov/romo/planyourvisi...ridge_road.htm It crosses the continental divide, and spends much of it's length above treeline, meaning the atmosphere is so thin that trees can't grow. Just imagine poor GNTLGNT up there!
Bring your coat, it can snow up there any day of the year...
Yeah, but is anyone there offering to take care of the details?
I've been talking to a wonderful, lovely, helpful and informative lady at the Stanley. She's sending me information about room rates and the potential cost of the Masquerade room, should we want to do such a thing.
I've made it clear that I'm just gathering facts. I'm not purposing to represent us, the board, or Uncle Stevie officially. Just asking questions.
