Is Ma Bell/AT&T still charging customers, like they have at least my entire life, extra ducats each & every month just to keep ones name, phone number, and home address, private/unlisted?...course that would be just for landlines I'd imagine, for now anyway.
Hmmm, curious & curiouser what tangled sense of privacy we tend to weave for ourselves, eh, guess it gives us somethin' to talk about, but seems only after it's already been said & done, and done over & over..and over...and over, that some folks all the sudden feel that tickley need.
Me, I got plumb tired of the whole thing back about the time that wunnerful Patriot Act was the most patriotic red white & blue American thing since Mom's Apple Pie & slice white bread, why you were a goddamned un American traitor if ya popped off to "real Americans", you know, about it bein' just one major pain in the national ass, not just a hugely bad idea, but one that will not just go away once we give it life, that we'll regret it...and now many of those same/same "real Americans"/we're gonna take OUR country back types what wanted to stove my head in, are the very ones doin' some of the loudest bitchin' moanin' groanin' & petulant poutin' today...now right there takes some seriously audacious & bodacious temerity, and to tell the truth, I cannot not be just a little impressed by it, like, um, wow.
Ya know, sometimes, 'I told ya so's', they really ain't 'all that'...but by golly thanks anyway, tis the lack of thought that counts, mighty generous though.
