I started listening to the audiobook of Duma Key a couple days ago and it's providing one problem: I'm really really liking the book, but I don't spend much time listening to it. I got the audiobook from the library and have it in my car, but truth is that sometimes I'm only in my car 30 or 40 minutes a day, which isn't productive in reading this book. I just wanna keep on driving!
I'd get the paperback and read along outside of the car, but I'm trying to make my way through another book (trying to read an entire book in Spanish).
It's so frustrating...I just want to listen to more!
Good audiobooks with good readers (like Slatery) make it hard to stop, just like good books do. I listen to more books than read and I have a 35 min. commute, so I understand where you are coming from. Keep listening!
Duma Key has to be one of my favorite audio books of all time. I've listened to it at least six times and each time it seems to get better and better. The reader brought so much to the written words and I find myself completely emotionally involved with this book.
I love this audiobook. I fly & drive weekly for work & LIVE on audiobooks. This is one of the very best. I can here Wireman in my head as I type this. Sometimes I find myself just driving around to get to the end of a chapter. it's a problem.
