This whole culture of putting all your private information online on Facebook has always amazed me. It's just strange, total unknowns are looking at your personal pics, job information etc. etc. They can basically know all about you and use that to wrong ends. You can set Facebook so that only friends see it, but I don't trust that. I sometimes see complete pages by people who haven't befriended me. And I'm added by people who I didn't allow...
It's just strange, I can understand Stephen not participating in it. Although he is a writer he's probably at less a risk than a moviestar or famous popstar, but by the nature of his work, he can attract strange people. Didn't someone break into his home once? He surely must have some security at home?
Actually I think the majority of people are pretty normal, but there are certainly loose cannons.
I know - I did not want to join Facebook but got talked into it by my oldest son who lives in another province so we could keep in touch. The funny thing is, since using the SKMB I am not really enjoying going on Facebook any more - I am hardly ever on there. I almost feel like deleting my account but I do like that I can keep in touch with old friends in Scotland.
