Absolutely. Imho, it captures the spirit (no pun) of its original book as well as most never get close to doing, and so it's a superior movie. Deborah Kerr is wonderful.

Yes, one of my all time favorite movies. Still works, today. Another fav quote of mine from the movie is "Making a big thing out of it would have been a good idea." Ha! (The Stonehenge scene). And, "There was a little green gobble on his drum set." ... "You know, several, you know, dozens of people spontaneously combust each year. It's just not really widely reported."

All right, I'll stop ... just love the movie.

As to google, I googled to make sure I had the exact quote I posted as a question ... seems fair as I know the lines, but not perfect recollection.

But, my guess was all guess.

Agree. The book was good, the movie was good. Great acting by everyone. The children are so wonderfully chilling.

No, it's originally Cool Hand Luke. Now that's not saying it couldn't have been used in A Few Good Men.

All right, yeah, and maybe even in "We Were Soldiers." Cool, to know it's original origin.

That's from "As Good as it Gets", Jack Nicholson's character describing how he writes from a female perspective...

Yes, but what we really need to know is, do androids dream of electric sheep?

The quote is from Blade Runner... :-)
