Prime Minister Harper of Canada was in the city. His son was playing volleyball. They went to Boston Pizza on the southside of Edmonton. I thought heads of countries went around with bodyguards, but I guess not. lol.

I've seen a few celebrities in my lifetime and every time I was struck by how very ordinary they were in person. They all looked a lot more average than they did on TV or in the movies and they acted just like the rest of us. I only ever asked two for an autograph and that was when I was a teenager. I figure these people just want to do regular stuff without being pestered.

...in most cases that is true...they are good-and for the most part genuine folks....I've met some very down to earth entertainers/celebs in my broadcasting career, once you get past the payed flunkies, and actually meet the "stars"...you discover they don't eat Care Bears and fart unicorns-they be real...
