Does anyone else ever feel that the work that needs to get done in a hospital's kitchen out weighs the amount out money that is made per hour?

I had a part time job in high school in the hospitals kitchen. I thought I got paid rather well. But again that was some time ago.
Could most probably be said about pert near every job in a hospital one could suppose, cryin' shame it ain't I'm thinkin'.
Just keep it for yourself.
...I'd prefer that the work that gets done in the hospital kitchen doesn't result in every dish being served smelling like azz and brussel sprouts...

azz and brussel sprouts. Needs to be in Bobledrew lunch thread!
Schmitty, just be glad you have a job. They are hard to come by and may lead to another.
Never considered the issue, truth be told. Whud they charge for Jell-O? Brain surgeons & toe specialists pay the same as patients & the casual browser? A weighty topic and one we should consider thoroughly. They offer take-out? How are tips? Is tipping permitted? Would a Food Court work better? Say, like they have at The Mall? Powdered Pretzels competing w/Tuffy's Tacos? Patients now...I don't believe they have much say, or do they? Someone in a tunic swing by to take orders? Or is their diet regulated by Dieticians? If you ate hospital food, All The Time, would your arteries thank you? Would you live longer? Is there much of a wait? Could the military learn something from hospital logistics or vice versa?
I imagine the cost of running a hospital kitchen is not offset by whatever profit they realize in the venture. Is a union involved? Do they get their dues? Do the uppy-ups eat in the kitchen w/the hired help? Or do they dine out? Maybe there's two kitchens, one for the officers and one for the enlisted men? Do they worship the same God? If one were to change religions, give it a go elsewhere, would that change the relationship?
Must be clean, though, hey? All those germs one must battle with...does everyone wear those little masks? No lip-reading there...a worker would voice all manner of complaint behind a mask and not get called out onto the floor. Maybe if they took in other customers? Get in the car kids, we're going out to eat. Yippee! Over at St. Joseph's Hospital Kitchen.
I dont have a job because they are full, I only work at a temp angency and they didnt call me back yet to give me an assignment.
