Hi,
I am from Constanța, a city located on the Black Sea coast of Romania.
I want to say hello to everybody here and mention how excited I am, being on this forum where I see people so fascinated with myths (like I am).
Though I like the sea with the surroundings and I can say Constanta is a lovely city, I love the mountains too.
In the Carpathians there are beautiful landscapes which I enjoyed visiting whenever I had the chance. But what I am really drawn too, are the stories preserved within the medieval towns and cities from Transylvania and Dracula is one of them.
I am a fan of science fiction movies and Dracula is one of the stories that I am most familiar with, reason for which I visited many places in the mountains area of my country. I do know the real story of Vlad Tepes (aka Dracula nowadays) and I can say that his real life was equally fascinating as well as full with intrigue.. He was a great leader for Walachia and his enemies feared him greatly though his reputation persuaded his name even after his death..
The places in Transylvania are truly breathtaking and each time, the journeys I made there enriched my perception regarding Romania.
I hope my english is good enough for you guys and what I am saying makes sense..
I love finding out bits of the real stories that usually is at the base of inspiring a birth of a genuine myth...
So anyway, I love being part of this community on this website and I wish you all a very nice wonderful day!
