Ha! I've loved Michelangelo since I was kid, painter sculptor both. The detail is amazing. Someone once asked him how he sculpted The David. He answered, "I took a piece of marble and chipped away everything that wasn't David."

His and Leonardo da Vinci's accomplishments are awe inspiring. I think I may still have a crick in my neck from trying to take everything in at the Sistine Chapel.

The closest I'll get to either wonderful sight is having read Irving Stone's The Agony and the Ecstacy. Did you see the Pieta in the chapel? Did they mention the chapel is were the cardinals hold their voting sessions? Can you imagine having to be locked up in such a place?

ALL of the details, Ms. Mod, all of the details, the veins and the crook and the tilt of the David's head. He was certainly blessed with an incredible talent.
