This is incredibly sad and frightening, for the both of them. On the one hand we have someone who had an atrocious thing done to her that resulted in her life being irrevocably altered, leaving her incapable of facing the lasting 'physical evidence' if you like, of what happened to her.
And on the other hand we have somebody who is here as the result of that atrocious act, who has to live with the knowledge that on her paternal side, is a person that hurt somebody very badly--and on her maternal side, is a person that is incapable of (even) acknowledging her.
These two human's are her physical make-up, her DNA.. the part of herself that she has very little control over. What must that feel like?
I haven't read too much of their story, but I do hope (so much) that the 'child' of the two, was raised by a loving family so that she has this to draw from. And I wish peace for the biological mother, because it sounds like this is something she may never be able to put fully behind her.
