MMMMM - Pasta - I have been sitting here on my laptop for about 3 hours or so and I am famished so when I saw the title of the thread my first thought was...

Now who would shut off the lights in the basement while you were still down there? Personally I follow the "stepping stone" method anywhere I go in the house at night: Leave one room with the lights on, go into next room & turn on lights, go back to original room and turn off lights. Repeat until you reach your desired room...
