Default Most Evil Of Them All

Some SK characters are incarnations of the Devil: Kurt Barlow; Randall Flagg; the Man In Black; the Crimson King; Leland Gaunt; Pennywise; Charles Burnside.

Some just walk right on through the Mental Ward door and never return: Jack Torrance; Thad Beaumont; Mort Rainey; Annie Wilkes; Margaret White.

And some are just lyin', cheatin', cold, dead-beatin', two-timin', double-dealin', mean, mistreatin', loathesome weasels.

I'm not including the Lucifer stand-ins or the Certifiables. Which weasel did you love to hate the most?

I would have to go with the Randall Flagg, the devil incarnate.

Hadda go with Norman Daniels. Any man what treats a woman like that is a no-good dirty eggsucking dog.

But what the hey? No Rhea of the Coos on the list? She was pretty nasty, as I recall.

She's a fantastical creature, kinda like Wolf is, so I didn't include her on the list.

A really hatable antagonist helps make a book or movie. For the moment I will say Big Jim from Under The Dome,

I didn't think he died horrifically enough
. I find some similarity in Henry Bowers and Big Jim as the represent the bullies we have to face down in life. Just a side note: some corporatons have more than their fair share of egotistical power hungry "Big Jim's", that would not understand the word empathy if it bit them in the *ss. They give credence to the term "souless corporation". It's a real pity to watch some of those organizations turn "to the dark side"; or fun to be a part of changing a bad company to being a people organization; and most of that positive change happens from someone or someones have the courage to stand up to the bullies.

So hard to choose! I chose Sloat because he was trying to take over two worlds.

I agree completely with what's in your spoiler! (Not that I was angry per se about it, but you nailed that take.)

I've encountered people like him in big corporations. They absolutely contributed to what I consider to have been the crushing of my soul. When you start to feel like Bob Cratchett, you need to get the hell out of Big Corporation Dodge and go do something for yourself; otherwise, you'll die a sad, slow, painful professional death.
