Default Question for Mr. King - using Eddie's character in a play?

This is more a question for Mr. King, but if anyone else on the Forums might know the answer, please chime in:

First of all, love the whole series, just finished Wiz and Glass. Very enjoyable. Also, I happen to be doing a production of the play Godspell, and I'm supposed to be the comic relief character in the play. I was thinking about basing my character on Eddie/Cuthbert (who seem rather similar), perhaps even using some of Eddie's "riddles" in the play. I was wondering what Mr. King might think of the idea, and whether he might enjoy / be offended by the idea.
    Thanks!

As long as you don't use the same names and are just loosely basing your character on them, it should be fine. Most of the riddles were not original to Stephen, so that shouldn't be a problem either.

    Wiz and Glass.
...sounds like something I have to do during my semi-annual check-ups...
