Sounds like a good idea to me. Not only would it fill in blanks when a court case came up, but it could also help to protect individuals against 'dodgy cop' practices.

I agree, it is good for the public and the police. It seems to be working well with them. They have a very hard job here is the city...every lil bit helps.
...I likes it....a lot...
I like what the article implies about all those photos available...Wal-Mart shoppers...concerning privacy. If armed men of any sort enter the building, watch their feet closely. Saw a clip of school children passing through the hallway and...the camera was watching their feet closely. Probably doesn't help paranoids...I imagine the tendency to look over their shoulder will increase. Maybe there will be a rise in the number of neck complaints. But too, maybe more people will be smiling, putting their best face forward?
I like the idea that some countries use dash cam for the purpose of having documentation of accidents. Seems like a good idea to have body cams.
I like the idea...now if I was a cop, I probably wouldn't so much. I wouldn't want a camera attached to me at my workplace, but then again, I don't uphold the law.
I think cops need more protection from allegations of abuse and the like. I think this is a great idea.
I was once on the phone with an incredibly rude customer service person. I recorded about 10 minutes of the call before I told her I was doing so. Needless to say, she was a much different person after. (Of course, when I contacted her company to report her I never heard back but that's a different story.)
People act very differently when people are watching. Sad, but true.
Do the cameras shut off when they go into the donut shop?
