    Its not "internet lore".

There are MANY credible books on the subjects, with real facts and sources and stuff like that.

As part of that reading of the Warren Commission Report, I had a paper due for a history class...mine was on the assassination of Kennedy. Had...and still have...access to a stack of newspapers from that time. At the time I was working on my homework, the other stories in the paper did not interest me as much as they do now...an U-2 pilot that crashed near Key West, a "mental case" who was arrested in New York, a body that washed up on the Lake Erie shoreline, a moose that was shot in the Upper Peninsula...a sign that went missing in Nashville...or maybe it was Memphis, as the song has it. A nursing home fire. There's all manner of other things that were happening at the time and although I'm inclined to believe that Oswald shared his plans w/others...before the event...these other stories are probably more fascinating to me. There's that turkey pardoned by LBJ...too, & one of the 1st things LBJ did was to extend the debt ceiling...to $315 billion. We've come a long way, baby, as the cigarette commercial would say, since then.

I'm not sure how we can seriously continue a conversation with someone who says a theory is a fact.

Or is the dictionary part of the conspiracy?

As applied to the term conspiracy theory, it's being used in a much, much looser sense.
I was speaking of a theory in the context of this thread .....and I personally do not consider conspiracy theories to be the same as fact, nor do I feel that they are supported by fact

Sunny, you're totally right. The only time it's even remotely based in fact is when you are comparing a set of facts to another but that completely has nothing to do with most theories and certainly not conspiracy theories.

As I said, the term is being used so loosely that it has no meaning in that context. I guess conspiracy theory is embedded in the language now, but I wish they'd change the name to stuff I made up 'cuz I was bored.

There is only speculation, guesswork and outright misinformation on the conspiracy end after 50 years. No single coherent conspiracy narrative can explain all the evidence that points to Oswald. Even the conspiracy theorists can't agree on what they think happened. There is more evidence against Oswald than 99.9% of those in prison today.

Of course Oswald was ONE of the shooters, nobody is disputing that.

There is a lot of ballistic and eye witness evidence to show that there had to be a second shooter somewhere behind the fence.

And as I've said numerous times, there is plenty of evidence to connect Oswald and Ruby to the mafia AND each other.

Why can't people read all this other evidence instead of just denying it is true?
