Friend of mine was just watching them interview the bombers' uncle on TV. She said he said he was watching the coverage with everyone else, had no idea that it was his nephews. Said he couldn't believe those were "the sons of my brother." (Not like he really couldn't believe it ... but you know, as in "it's unbelievable.")

Of course this is completely terrible for everyone involved, but if the family had nothing to do with it beyond the two brothers, I feel sorry for them. What if they moved from Chechnya to escape violence? How ironically terrible would that be?
