Imagine my devastation on picking up a book with CARRIE on the front in big bold red letters.Only to find the main character was called Carrie!!!

But think about Cujo. It has a big, mean, scary dog mouth on it. But the book starts with Cujo being really nice. Is that a spoiler?

If it showed a newspaper headline that said "CUJO RAVAGES AND KILLS CITIZENS", it would be.

I was so eager to read the book, I didn't notice this. So, no, it wasn't a spoiler for me.

I never read Cujo... I had a bad run-in with a wild dog when I was little, that was enough for me.

On a serious note.If the book is made into a film Jake saving JFK would be in the trailer,it was pretty obvious from the get go that that would happen.The main plot of the story was the consequences of this and the love interest

My copy says in bold letters on the front

"THE DAY THAT CHANGED THE WORLD"

"WHAT IF YOU COULD CHANGE IT BACK"

You've convinced me that it might not be a total spoiler, but when the cover actually appears in the book
later on, we realize that we've actually seen into the book ahead of time.

This exact quoting of a later page of the book should be avoided, in my opinion.
