I am just finishing NOS4A2 (a good book), and enjoyed the "shout outs" or connections to Stephen King's works. Pennywise was mentioned, as was the doors to mid world, and a couple of others I can't remember at the moment.
I just finished reading NOS4A2 two days ago and I can say that I didn't want to stop reading it and when I wasn't reading it (like when I was at work) I couldn't stop thinking about it. That is a sign of a great book! I've read all of his other books/collections and this is pretty much the way I felt about all of them. Heart Shaped Box was one I couldn't put down! It's nice to see that King's worlds are bleeding over into Joe's fiction. When I first read that when Stephen was asked who he would have chosen to finish the Tower saga, if he had died after that horrible accident when he was hit by a van, and he answered Joe, I cringed, but that was a few years ago and a couple of (great) Hill books ago and now I see that Joe really does 'get it' when it comes to the Tower books and the rest of Stephen 'worlds'! Joe has nothing to worry about as to living up to his Dad's legacy! He is an amazingly talented author in his own right!
Really liked Horns. I watched a youtube video last night of Joe reading a passage from his new book. I usually avoid spoilers before I start into something, but I found myself leaning forward in my chair until he was done. Then I gave myself heck for clicking on the video in the first place.
He's not only a great writer, but the way he read that passage... he's a great reader too.
