Me too, I love to sketch (charcoal is my best) but I can't get there .... of late.

You, however, are so talented, so find the channel and go for it!

I find when I'm drawing or taking pictures, I don't think ... even when I'm writing (which I love) I'm thinking (a little bit).

That's why I love to draw or take pictures. Um ...so, do you understand?

I like to use charcoal too. I love to use pastels and color as well. One of the favorite things that I did was a pastel drawing of Edvard Munch's "The Scream"in high school. It disappeared somewhere.

I am pretty sure that I understand what you are saying. My best drawings and pictures come when I am just having fun with it and not thinking.

Thank you for the compliment. You are very talented too.

Wow, you have guts. I couldn't image taking on "The Scream". Good for you! And I mean that, as a sincere compliment.

My fav sketches, of mine, are of Swans, go figure. Not, that I love fairy tales.

I didn't think of doing the scream as a daunting task. I guess I might now. We were trying to raise money for the art department at the time and the bidding got up to $35 on my scream. I didn't want to lose it so I took it off the floor. I imagine it ended up in the garage anyway.

If you took it off the floor, find it. I'd bet it's good.
