Too bad we couldn't hang out in person, Dave. I'd show you how to lose them blues, bubba. I got a couple tricks for that stuff. Anyhoo, big hugs, pal. We all love ya at the ol SKMB ranch.

TODASH, thanks for that link. I know people that completely believe in the power of meditation and that it is the link to the beyond and above, and it is the 'bestest' way to connect.. I will check it out as I am still a newby at meditation.
Dr. Jonni Gray introduced me to meditation. This is a 'daily feel good pill' without chemicals.
I am starting to believe this works.

Always remember you're among friends here.
And may I suggest two books:
The Saving Life of Christ, by Major Ian Thomas, and
The Ragamuffin Gospel, by Brennan Manning.
Saving Life tells how only Christ can live the Christian life, so we need to let Him live it through us. We live by His power, not our own. Ragamuffin tells how Jesus came for folks who are messed up, as we all are, not for those who have it all together.

    My two cents Dave,

    The gospel according to sheemiee:

Kick off the boots, have a beer, invite a friend over and watch a monty python movie . Don't get all heavy just have a laugh and a pizza- and look forward to the next meet.

thats what it's all about for me- and it's my faith folks- so dont lambast it. Nobody dies for choosing pepperoni over chicken.

    Different strokes for different folks.
life is a journey - choose yor own path.

    lead don't follow!

    ehh...can't think of any more

    i...lambasted the sheems last time

i agree wholeheartedly this time...because he is so right !!

i especilly like that 'lead don't follow'

it certainly seems, dear dave, from alot of what you've said that one of your problems from the past might be you've tried too hard to follow...until you are lost in a wood of someones elses making: sheems is right - time to make your own path, brutha

I'll second the Ragamuffin Gospel recommendation. I think reading that would be very helpful to you, or at least help you understand the idea of grace over shame and fear. It's a great book.
