I'm pretty certain that it is indeed a legitimate copy of the book. I think all of the lettered and numbered editions were made of the same white cloth. If you are thinking about buying this, and it's a good deal, you better snatch it up fast! Does it come with a dustjacket and a slipcase? If not, you may be able to get a dustjacket on the secondary market, such as ebay, etc. They do pop up occasionally.
I already purchased this, found it at a thrift store for $3.50 believe it or not. No slipcase/dust cover though, it's the #00 numbering that is throwing me off. All online research shows that numbering does not/should not exist.
As I said elsewhere, that was a FANTASTIC and AMAZING find!

You gotta be kidding me!!! That has to be the find of the year, possibly the century (last century included!)!! I would have fainted dead away if I had found something like that in a thrift store! Sweet Jesus!! Don't know why it would have had a double zero for the number, but as as FlakeNoir said, Marsha should be able to help out with that. You might also shoot an email over to Grant books and ask them also, they keep records of that stuff, doncha know.
