    Question The unforgivable

So as far as I know there is 1 sin that is unforgivable. 1. is blasphemy against the holy spirit. IS that the only one though? I mean I was recently on YouTube and I wrote a comment saying that I didn't agree with certain lyrics of a song and then later removed it but then felt bad for not leaving it. I wasn't rejecting God or anything I just didn't wanna hear people talk smack and leave nasty comments on my profile/videos. I was just wanting to speak my mind so feeling guilty, I went back and stated that I didn't agree with the lyrics but I liked the music. Am I forgiven or does he think I'm afraid of what people will think of me? I mean I obviously don't care what people say if I went back and said what I said. I'm so confused! UGH!

Actually, per the New Testament there is no such thing as an unforgivable sin. If you are Christian, and accept that Christ died for your sins, there is no sin which weighs heavier in the balance than that sacrifice and nothing for which you cannot be saved via the process.

According to the Old Testament, you can go to hell for wearing cotten blends.

There is quite a lot of conjecture on just what the unforgivable sin is. Some say that the passages refer to simple blasphemy, others say that the passages mean an absolute rejection of God's spirit. Some say that the only way to commit the sin is to attribute God's miracles to Satan, which is what many of the Jewish leaders charged Jesus with. Others say that it's not possible for humans to commit the sin, though it may be possible for an Angel to do so.

    Nobody knows.

I'm not at all certain that you're not a poe or a sympathy-troll, but if you're not, then you really ought to re-think your affiliation with whatever church you've been attending. Anything that makes you feel this bad, this frightened, all the time is neither good nor holy.

    There actually is.

Mathew 12:31 "Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men."

As pertaining to the OP, he has absolutely nothing to worry about. In order to blaspheme the Holy Ghost, you need a conscientious desire to do so. You need to have been made a partaker of the power of the Holy Spirit, then willfully reject it, knowing that it is true but setting yourself up as an enemy of God. Just like Christ is the fascimile of eternal life and salvation, one need only look to the antithesis of Christ to see what it takes to commit such a sin. Satan fully knows who Christ is and has personally seen God, but chose to rebel. Unless you've done likewise, you're fine.

God is not reading your comments on YouTube. Seriously. He also very likely isn't sitting there waiting for you to make some move or comment you perceive as wrong so he can jump on you and condem you to hell forever. You need to move on from questioning your every move out of fear.

It's things like this that make me really, really not like religion.

In defense of religion, I don't think religion is the root problem here, but rather, individual's misunderstanding of true, pure religion. The single most important philosophy underlying Christianity is that God loves us, despite our flaws, that His love was so great He provided a way for us to attain salvation despite being deeply flawed beings. Just because some people have horribly misconstrued the gospel's central message shouldn't serve as an indictment of religion in general.

Yes. Or if you get raped. (Deut. 22:23-24)

Or touch dead pig. Bacon anyone? (Deut. 14-8)

Or a woman can't go to church when she's on her period.

But, oh wait. The God who said all that changed his mind and created the New Testament. The all-knowing god. He's such a champ.
