Oh no, it was awesome! Double Feature by Owen King. I heartily recommend it, but it was (for me) one of those books that leaves you with a book hangover for a while. You know? Like it takes a bit for you to fully orient yourself back into your regular life. It was one of those where you read the last page and think, "This. THIS IS WHY I READ."
I think I might do something a little less intense for my next read.
Patricia, I'll have to check Stir of echos. Is it a western?
No it's one of his ghost stories and really good. If you are not familiar with the movie, good. The story is completely different from the movie. Even though I liked the movie I wondered why they bothered to call it Stir of Echos.
My favorite Matheson western is Journal of the Gun Years. It's a fantastic story with characters you wish you knew... some of them so you could kick their tails for them.
Just so you know, I got What Dreams May Come today. I need to finish up the book I'm reading now, then I'm going to jump on it. I read a few pages and it looks really good, thank you for sharing!
