I agree with you folks on here. An American Werewolf In London is the best werewolf ever, bar none, and The Howling, Silver Bullet and the remake of The Wolfman are all fine werewolf movies.
To this list I would add:

    DOG SOLDIERS

A low budget indie horror film from Scotland. Very well done and entertaining.

Lemme add Werewolf In A Girl's Dormitory. Stupid movie, but you gotta love that title.

Of coss, there's also I Was A Teengae Werewolf. So bad it's good. And who doesn't love Michael Landon doing a sort of James Dean with Rabies schtick. Awesome.

    God, I miss the Drive-Inn...

I really like the The Wolfman remake with Anthony Hopkins and Benicio del Toro...

I'd think we could count the "Thriller" video by Michael Jackson, directed by John Landis. It was shown as a film and groundbreaking for the time.

ummmm, isn't there something from that one lady...

    i got nothing.

Only thing I recall is Dark Shadows...one of those nice nurturing after-school soaps...the werewolf on screen the last 10 seconds of the show...a hand turning into a claw, fevered dreams. See! This is why we should watch Batman! I'd yell at my sisters, me, outvoted again by the Dark Shadows Rockettes in loose socks.
I recall an old black & white movie on television...don't recall a title...just the wolfman running from the villagers armed with pitchforks.

What did they see at the movie theatre in IT? Teenage WW?

Jack Nickelson had one called "Wolf" I don't really remember it, so maybe not that good.

And you can't miss with American Werewolf in London. It has the

"I'm a pepper, your a pepper guy in it"

sometimes you are in a werewolf kinda mood..and not one that is in teenage competition with a vampire for the love of some other teen.. maybe the evil dead will be good, looks nasty..horror movies need to be scary rather than romance novels..
