Our picnic Saturday didn't go quite as planned, it was raining on the mountain, and halfway up it was snow. Well, not quite snow, more like slushy hail, but the highway was white. We pulled off at a lookout point and had our picnic inside the pickup. Then drove back down. Then that cold air headed our way and we had one heck of a thunderstorm that afternoon. More like a monsoon. Some parts of town had 2 inches of rain, some parts had hail. We didn't have any hail, and I don't have a rain gauge, so I don't know how much rain we had in our area, but it was a lot. I didn't see the big moon, it rained both Friday night and Saturday night.
Had a bunch of errands to run yesterday, spent some time cleaning up the house this morning. Now I'm going to just relax.
Hope everyone is having a good day, sending big hugs and positive vibes.
Hi guys, haven't stopped in here for a little while.. Me and my boy have started a bit of exercise together. The Race for Life I did a couple of weeks ago kind of spurred me on, and Sonny said he wants to get away from x-box etc so we've both bought trainers and have started going for fairly lengthy walks along the Cuckoo Trail. This is an old railway line and it runs right through my village for many miles. There are beautiful views over to the fields and woodland. And sometimes when I'm walking I imagine the kids in the film Stand By Me.... We hope to start actually running it soon.
Where did the day go? I could almost say good evening!
Cat sorry for the bad weather. Relaxing is a good thing.
If-so grrl, enjoy the visit with your mom. Special times.
Mustangclaire- walking is fabulous exercise. Easy on the body and the scenery lowers the stress levels too.
