Crikey! If I don't go to bed soon, it's going to be time for me to get back up again! Have a happy day everybody, see you in a few hours.
~ There'll be Chocolate, if God wills it. ~
Good Friday to all. Some are enjoying a 4 day mini vacation, other are still working. Weekend in full sight- woo hoo!!
Hope you are all safe from the celebrations yesterday. Seems there were a few tragic accidents with at least two deaths-- one right in Bangor.
Hope all the critters did Ok.
Time for a break, so herbal tea in hand and off to bean bag central. All are welcome to join.
Have a fun and safe weekend!!
(((all in need or not)))
Hope everyone is having a good Friday! Not too tired from all the activity and fun yesterday, I hope!
I have all my kiddos back home with me today. We were home last night in plenty of time to go to the town fireworks show, but we had a thunderstorm with lots of lightning, so we didn't go. They still did the show, though, think our side of town got it worse than where the event center is.
I keep thinking it is Monday, because it is Monday for hubby, back at work today. Have to keep telling myself it's Friday. Trying to do a little catch up work in the house, but it is already very hot and humid, think we'll see more thunderstorms tonight.
Sending big hugs and positive vibes to all! Have a great weekend, everyone!
I hope everybody had a great day yesterday. We set off some stuff that go boom last night. Well worth the bug bites.
I think there's some cookout stuff left over. Help yourselves.
We bit rainy today. Thinking it may be a good day to nap and then just relax.
Hello there - hope everyone is looking forward to the weekend. Andy is out looking for a lawnmower or possibly taking his parka in for dry cleaning, or picking up some flowering plants for the gardens or even (maybe) buying some of that Molson 67 beer as I thought I would like to try a light beer. I had left over Chinese food for lunch and a nice hot tea. I would help you finish up that BBQ food Lepplady but I am just too full right now. Sorry to hear about those accidents all over the place on July 4th. The poor old guy who died in Bangor apparently was killed when an antique tractor fell over on him (I think).
Enjoy the upcoming weekend everyone. I have nothing in particular planned except maybe trying to finish The Gunslinger. Of all his books this one seems the hardest so far. I guess I should persevere as it is book one of the DT series (I think?). I want to reread Gerald's Game as well so it's a tossup between those two. "It" was good and it's back on the book shelf. Has anyone else found The Gunslinger a bit hard to get into? (I had put it aside and I am not sure if I want to try finishing it or start a different book). - thanks in advice if anyone has a comment to make!
Another hot day, but at least it's not raining.
I looked out the window yesterday evening and noticed this:
Neesy, The Gunsling is so different from other SK books and many did find it a difficult/different read. I would suggest you stick with it. You will be glad you did. If all else fails, go on to Drawing of the Three. When you complete the journey, go back a read The Gunslinger. You will be in for a surprise.
