I'm new to the Stephen King forums, but I am not unfamiliar with message boards though!
My name is Minik, and I was born in Greenland in 1984 - But I live in Denmark.
I'm not sure when I read my first SK book; I must have been 13-14? Guess it was Misery or Pet Sematary. But the first SK novel that I remember most vividly from that period was The Gunslinger, it kinda changed my world!
I've always read, even though my parents wasn't much into that. Well, my mom have a few Jean M. Auel books which quickly bored me. And my dad mostly reads Science Illustrated and the likes with the occasional historical novel.
Music is a big part of my life - Even bigger than the books; it pays my rent: I work as a sound tech.
Well, what kind of books do I read then? I like Charles Bukowski, Albert Camus, Jean-Paul Sartre, Stephen King, John Irving, Dan Turéll, Villy Sřrensen, Anders Bodelsen, Arthur C. Clarke, some Hemingway, Kafka, just got into Samuel Beckett recently. I'm a sucker for music mags and band bios, too! Read in both English and Danish - Depends on which language I get the book in, I guess. Very rarely use the library anymore; I used to run up quite a few heavy fines for late returns when I was a teenager :-)
I think there's not much else right now. I know I mentioned music, but it's a heavy subject for me, depends on my mood - But the RIFF is very important to me!
I won't promise frequent visits, but I'll try participate when I can!
Long days and pleasant nights,
