    Default I love it

I wonder if I'm the only one?

I have only been reading Stephen King since last summer (before that I only knew him through the movies and a few poor German translations of several 1970/80s novels. Those translators should be hung or quartered or both, but I digress). So I'm trying to work my way through his work . I usually manage one book a week (two if they're short ones like Misery or Salem's Lot), so, so far, I haven't had time for re-reads. I am almost halfway through Lisey's Story and I already KNOW that as soon as I've finished it, I'll start right over!

I am totally enamored with Scott Landon. But that's only part of it. I know some people don't like the made-up words, but I'm completely fascinated by them. Funny thing is, after the first 50 pages, I was ready to put the book aside and I announced to my family that this would probably be the first SK novel that I would not finish. Boy was I WRONG. 50 pages later, it had gripped me like no other before. (But I think I may have said that about one or two other books before as well.)

Boo'ya moon - I just love the sound of that. The most beautiful words ever I think. I usually don't take things like that personally (why would I...lol...) but it saddens me that this novel received so much criticism and so little love...

...not at all, I didn't care for it much at first, but after several re-reads....have decided it's a brilliant piece of work, with a ton of layers that aren't easily discernible at the first fast read-through...

One of my top favorite SK books. He sure can draw the reader into his characters and their lives.

Some stories are like roller coasters...soon as the ride's over, we run around and get in line again...King has a few stories like this.
Those who haven't liked the story have received notations in their permanent record.
    Me, I just have a can handy...spit in it...when I read a bad review.

I really liked this book. It reminded me, somewhat, of my wife and I. I thought it was a fantastic read.

Love Lisey's story is one of my favorites. I realy traveled to Boo'ya Moon with them and the end made me think about the monster we see in the mirror... It was fantastic
