    Default First Time

This was the first novel I read by Stephen King. It's very well done, and it still frightens me. Poor Trisha.

...my beloved Tracy is trying to "prep" herself a bit for the upcoming "KingCon" this Summer...having never read any of Unca Steve's material, and tolerating my unbridled enthusiasm-she felt she should be a bit better versed...didn't want to sit and twiddle her thumbs whilst the rest of us rolled in a big ole verbal mudbog of fandom...so, to that end...she has read The Colorado Kid, TGWLTG(really enjoyed it)and is about to embark on Dolores Claiborne...I'm purposely steering her away from his more "horrific" bits, simply because I know that's not her thing...

There is a pop-up version of TGWLTG. Very interesting to "read". Hope you will find many other SK books to your liking.

I also really like this book, and I too kept thinking poor Trisha. But that is a sure fire way of grabbing my emotions - I was the same with ellie in pet sematery, Beverley in it, and the little blind girl in the langoliers that I can't remember the name of. Putting a young intimidated girl through emotional and mental turmoil just makes me want to give them a hug and protect them. That sound a bit sad?

Great story by Stephen King....Kept me wanting to read more and more...always wondered how Trisha ended up getting lost as when she started out she seemed to have a good idea where she was...and she didnt really go far to go the toilet...but amazing story and would recommend
