Crud. Again!

Hi!

I just checked my e-mail accounts. Crud. Apparently, someone or some entity has hacked into my accounts and sending out e-mails to ALL of the people on my contact lists.

I have changed all my passwords (that's a PITA).

If you have received any cruddy e-mails from my account, I beg your pardon.

Now that I have changed my password it SHOULD stop. If you continue to get these weird azz e-mails, please let me know.

It's unlikely that all of your accounts have been hacked. Much more likely that you've picked up a worm. After you've found and eradicated whatever crapware you're infected with, you ought to change all of your passwords again.

This has happened to my sister in Chicago at least twice now in the past 4 months. It's getting to the point that if I see a link attached to one of her emails I just call and tell her it's happened again. So, so sad some people have nothing to do with their lives but hurt others.

These cyber criminals are getting more and more clever. Just a few days ago, I received an e-mail from a "trusted origin", that being Linkedin. There was a link to my Linkedin inbox, and I went and clicked it. Next thing I know, the browser is connecting to a server in Russia. At that point I closed the browser and rebooted the phone. Now there's nothing to do but sit and wait for the next phone bill.

Somebody hacked my Yahoo email a couple of years ago and about a thousand people got emails from me asking them to join an adult dating site. I received a number of strongly worded emails from people telling me where I could put that adult dating site. I was not a happy camper.
