The Chordettes, "Lollipop"
We've had some serious melting happening today. I'm serious. This is my serious voice.
Used to tell my dogs to be serious and they tried, sat on their haunches, all serious, expecting a treat. We'll probably have snow...for as much
as we have...well into April. And, I haven't fixed my snowblower yet, so that pretty much guarantees snow. Went out earlier...went out several
times today and threw some ice-crystal snow into the road. This is serious. Yippi ki aye.

Winter has not left the area...heard the plow go by earlier...so I get to go out later and shovel/snow-blow...and this drives me crazy, but I read a post, maybe in the Katina, that someone mowed their grass already...won't see grass or need to mow for a month or more.
I'm done with winter in the Northern Hemisphere.
I'll be moving to Argentina in one month so I will miss all the humidity and general NY summer ickyness , then in September, I leave Argentina to come back to NYC once the summer here in NYC is finishing.
It's a good situation for me.
Snowfall left on the ground by April varies from year to year...usually less...a few times more. I've seen snow in June...places where it blows across a field, piles up on one side of a "snow fence" and doesn't melt till late. This is what I get for not fixing the snow-blower when that impeller belt broke. But the sun is out now, party cloudy, eaves are dripping. I've seen commercials on the television, girls in bikinis skiing down the hill...I want winters like that.
YES YES YES!!! We had an extraordinarily cold winter, I wore my Cuddl Duds practically the whole winter!!
I am ready for warmth and green grass and leaves on the trees!
