    Default followup to the stand

always thought it would have been good to have a follow up to the stand, following abigale and some of the children born after the flu, it's been an interesting read, one where it takes your imagination to places you never thought to go.

...it WOULD be fun, but I don't see it happening...Man's only got so many years on this planet unfortunately....

Don't think you could follow Abigail (spoiler - don't remember how to do it Mr. Mod, sorry!)considering she dies before the book ended[/spoiler], but I do understand what you mean about the characters being fascinating. Personally I'd be happy with a short story about Fran's baby, living somewhere in the forests of the after-world, but I suppose that all good stories make you want to hear a bit more.

I always wondered if Stu, Fran, and the baby made it back to Maine. I hope they didn't get mugged on the highways.

I'm actually re-reading The Stand at the moment. A short story or maybe a novella following the events that happened after the original story ended would be neat, I guess, even though

all my favorite characters (besides RF) were killed off.
