I think we had a sports thread that got deleted during the upgrades so I'll start another one.

Here is an interesting article for those of us who love sports but are very disgusted at the public being fleeced and force to use taxpayer money for new stadiums so billionaire owners can make some extra cash. John McCain is introducing a bill that would ban TV blackouts in publicly financed stadiums.

We have the same problem here in Edmonton. The owner of the Oilers (our NHL hockey team) and the city are squabbling over who's going to pay the remaining 100 Million to make the new arena happen. Could take years until this thing is settled either way.

That Bruins finish was incredible. I didn't see the game but I saw the highlights. I don't think I've ever seen a comeback like that one.


I get a couple of days off while they figure out the next opponent for The Heat. Looks like Indiana will probably be it. Indiana is a tough match-up for The Heat.

Let's hope you're right I watch them all the time and the kind of teams that give them the most trouble are teams like Indiana and Memphis. If Dwayne can overcome that troublesome knee problem and play like he's capable, The Heat are extremely tough to beat.
