You will never reach a high post count without either controversy or kumbayaism IMO.

So... In 25 years, what will things look like?

    My predictions:

    * A vaccine will rid the world of Aids.
    * The US will remain a super power, but Europe will be controlled by Russia, Asia and Africa by China, and the Middle East by Iran.
    * Wars will be over energy, food and water; and the US will concentrate on protecting the interest of the Americas.
    * Privacy will be a quaint thing of the past.
    * "Duck and Cover" will be revived.

    For the USA:

    * Cities will be transformed into small units organized by local crime bosses.
    * We'll be less healthy.
    * Healthcare will be rationed, and severely curtailed for those over 70 as the aging of America becomes an epidemic.
    * The US will become markedly more Latin.
    * The standard of living will decrease as taxes to pay for spending sins of today will consume far more of everyone’s income.

Shouldn't this be called the GIANT thread?
And, maybe someone's at last found a way to hijack my "Hijack this thread" thread???

This is birthday season; we'll be celebrating 4.
    We've already had 2 parties - Sunday there's 1 more.
Last night was my mother's; she turned 70 + 5.
(We are very lucky; she's continuing to thrive.)

Dad's was here last weekend and my sister's party's next.
That one is at her house because everyone suspects
    That I don't enjoy the fact the party's always here;
Think I'm lying saying it's my favorite time of year.

All I have to do is cook a meal and bake the cake.
Younger sisters do the cleaning up, I take a break.
I enjoy the cooking part... I really hate to clean,
But my sisters are the best at that I've ever seen.

One is great at decorating, one at mixing drinks.
I have much more fun at these than any of them thinks.
Plus, my house is cleaner than it was before they came.
Going to my sister's home will not feel quite the same.

(I'm the "bigger" sister so this thread's the perfect place
Now, for my big finish with a new type smiley-face...)

    .

    Too much?

    I prefer smaller.

I mean, smaller is less pretentious, and it doesn't draw attention to itself. Y'all remember that song Short People, well it's not like that at all.

So yeah, I think that smaller is better, and no, this isn't because of some deep-rooted Freudian manifestation of insecurity, I just like things that I can hold in one hand without having to strain. So bars of gold are right out; far too heavy. A bar of Vienna Sausages, though... yeah, that's the thing.

It's too bad about my cucumbers, though. They didn't do well this season. The zucchini went bananas, but the poor little cukes just couldn't hold their own. Weren't up to snuff, you might say. Finger-sized, mostly.

What creepy friggin' monkey would that be? Guess I missed it!

GNTLGNT, so you are jealous of the other kids because their threads are bigger than yours? You have thread envy. Just because all the other kids have bigger threads than you doesn't mean you have to. If all the other kids jump off the bridge, are you going to do the same? Be happy with your wee little thread. It works just as well as those large vulgar threads. Many of the girls might find yours much cuter than those large cumbersome threads.

It's all about trans-dimensional wave emitters.

I, like others, also fear a hellscape dystopian future brought on by overly logical governmental policies. After all, that has been the plan all along...

But, figure out one of those emitters and how to stabilize a generated field "bubble" in the membrane between dimensions and you could effectively slide around that membrane and enter the various dimensions at any point during the expansion and increasing entropy in each one's space-time fabric. This would seem to the user to be "time travel". Then, the extremely rational predictions given earlier could have an even more rational solution as I have presented here.

Also, I had this fungus on my foot once. It itched. I didn't like it. The doctor gave me a prescription for a cream. But, my insurance wouldn't pay for the cream. They would, however, pay for the ointment version. I had to call the doctor. They then changed it to an ointment. I used it and the fungus went away. I was happier then.
