It is terrible. I think this kind of stuff goes on more often than we think, though maybe not at daycare centers. I remember when my kids were little I ran into a couple of moms over the years who gave their toddlers benadryl when they didn't need it, just so they would get sleepy and take a nap. Shameful!

Definitely reached her breaking point. Thankfully a co worker caught on to the incident.

If I was one of those parents I'd be concerned that this may not be an isolated incident. Being caught doesn't necessarily mean it was the first time she has done it...it may just be the first time she was observed doing it. Maybe my mind likes to work overtime, but the fact she was content to give it to all of the children suggests to me she wasn't worried about any negative consequences of the medication...that usually happens when a person knows it will be effective without causing harm. I'm inclined to believe she's done it before.

I have been so blessed to work where I was able to bring my child with me. I am thankful that I've never had to trust a "daycare".

It's probably Pre-School in the Pines, which is where I was when one day my mom came to pick me up early and they wouldn't let her back to the nap area. When she pushed her way back she found me tied into my crib.
