What makes you cry ?

Funny I should come upon this thread. I had tears running down my face listening to this song this morning. Songs in general make me cry but I also think because Whitney has passed that it made me think of her and more tears fell than normally would have. I may not love or trust my government but I am proud to be American and love my country so hearing the National Anthem makes me tear up. And heart felt greeting cards make me cry, too! I can hang out in the card section and laugh like a lunatic or tear up reading those suckers. Some movies also, but Pay It Forward had me literally sobbing. That doesn't happen often. This girl is not lip synching -sp? by the way. She got a record deal since this video AND was on Ellen Degeneres. Simply amazing talent. I like how she made the song in some parts her own. She blows away all the contestants on American Idol!

I cry often. When I see some sad movie, or read something sad in book. Or when I see on the news that some tragedy happened (especially if it happened to a child). So, yeah, I cry a lot when something touches me...

My grandma had a stroke yesterday afternoon so I was in the hospital from 3pm to 2am. Here's a list of the things that made me cry:

- My grandma not being able to say my name
- The family of the man next to my grandma telling him they love him
- The spattering of blood all over the floor with footprints in it. I don't know who it belonged to but it made me cry
- The choice of food in the cafeteria for my blind, diabetic grandfather
- Trying to figure out what the blood sugar reading on my grandfather's test meant
- When I figured out what the test meant, trying to get my grandfather to take an insulin shot, which he repeatedly refused
- My grandma saying her name is Caroline (which is technically true but she's gone by "Sue" for 80 years)
- My grandma yelling at me for not folding her pants right
- The gift shop being closed
- My mom arriving
- The nice paramedic who went to my grandma's coming to check on her
- The nice paramedic telling me about the guy who came in who had just fallen off of a billboard
- The transport taking too long to take my grandma to her room
- The transport going to fast for my blind grandfather to follow so losing the transport and having to hunt down her room in the maze of the hospital while guiding my poor, exhausted grandfather
- Realizing I had to get gas on the way home
- Hugging my husband when I got home

I really could have used the ShamWow last night, GNTLGNT.
