Default Author Suggestions You would recomend?

As you all heard I really like the horror, science fiction, thriller, and mystery genre, so who would you guys recommend? I have read all the authors whose books I loved to read below:

    Peter Benchley
    Christopher Pike
    Micheal Crichton
    Stephen King
    R.L Stine
    Peter Straub
    Douglas Adams
    Ray Bradbury
    Richard Matheson
    H.G Wells
    Lois Duncan
    Anne Rice

And do not mention any erotica books such as that nasty porno The Sleeping Beauty, 50 Sh*ts of Grey or anything Stephanie Meyer or Stephanie Meyer-like to me. In fact I'll tell you something short and that is all I will leave you with. I remember when I first read (or tried to) that horrifying Twilight, I got bored after getting to page 100, so I doused the book with lighter fluid and burned it to an crisp. I never want read something that awful in my life. So please do me the favor. Thank you.

You did better than I did--I got up to the part where the girl got the pickup truck, then I vomited. Twice. Now, I did have the flu at the time, but I'd had it for most of the week and I didn't sick up anything until I started reading that book.

    Look into:

    Seabury Quinn
    Kurt Vonnegut
    Robert W. Chambers
    Neil Gaiman
    Robert E. Howard
    Edgar Motherfreakin' Allan Poe
    H. P. Lovecraft
    E.E. "Doc" Smith
    Algernon Blackwood
    Harlan Ellison
    Robert Bloch

    Neil Gaiman is a must.

And I personally like Graham Masterton (sp?). I think his horror novels are quite entertaining.

Oh, you're so right, I keep forgetting about Graham Masterton! He's also done a few 'mainstream' books, too.

I forget him a lot too but every time I happen upon him I enjoy it.

He wrote one I love - the House that Jack Built, I believe. It actually scared me.
