Or maybe he'd been to the Road Kill Cafe in Greenville, Maine. They don't actually serve road kill but the menu is a tongue-in-cheek listing of various dishes such as Bye-Bye Bambi Burger.

When I think of Roadkill, I'm reminded from the guy whose radio name is Roadkill. He is on a NH station.

When I think of roadkill I think "Flat Animal". I hate to see 'em. To me it's nature's way of saying "You don't belong here" or "Something's gone horribly wrong." It doesn't matter what it used to be, to me each kill is tragic.

I understand that hunting is necessary because without it certain populations of animals would become so overabundant that many of their members would starve or otherwise die in far more intolerable ways than via hunters, and that it's a legitimate sport practiced by, hopefully for the most part, people who appreciate and honor nature including the animals they hunt. Nevertheless, I expect never to become a hunter (who knows what the future may hold for the world) because I don't like the idea of innocent beings being killed. To me it would be the same as if I were a Nazi hunting Jews.
